Despite the fact that there is no “real” recipe for it, mixing them together often makes them taste better. This particular mix is one of the best. In the long life of the show, the “Flaming Moe’s” episode (Season 3, Episode 10, 1991) is one of the most popular and talked about. It was Homer who created the drink, which he called the Flaming Homer. The Flaming Moe cocktail is the result of Moe stealing the recipe and renaming it, making it a hit in his bar. There has been an odd phenomenon regarding drinks ever since. When you try it, it goes without saying that you should select rum with a higher proof than the cartoon’s cough syrup!

Can You Flame Cough Syrup?
Let’s not forget that “The Simpsons” is a fictional show and that it takes place in a cartoon universe. It should be noted that Krusty’s products were not always the safest either. While cough syrups do not contain nearly enough alcohol to catch fire in the real world, NyQuil contains just 10 percent alcohol. This is one of the strongest cough syrups available. 151-proof rum is typically used to top off a flaming drink. If you’ve made one yourself, you know what I mean. In other words, that’s 75.5 percent alcohol by volume. The stuff in NyQuil has a lot less than that.
